Andrew Todd Marcus is a Licensed Massage Therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a graduate of the 800 hour program at The Massage School in Acton. In addition to the California style deep tissue massage taught at the Massage School, he has formal training in Thai Massage and Shiatsu and is currently participating in a pre- and post-natal massage certification program.
Andrew is an Okuden Reiki (Level II) practitioner with over 80 hours of cumulative training with certification from both the International House of Reiki and the John Harvey Gray Center for Reiki Healing. He has studied yoga for over fourteen years, initially as a student of Sri Dharma Mitra and, for the last ten years, as a student of Patricia Walden in the Iyengar method. He has also traveled to Pune, India to study with the Iyengar family. Andrew has apprenticed in herbalism with Sage Maurer and completed the 160 hour certification in Plant Medicine at the Gaia School of Healing. He has lived and practiced at the Zen Center in Cambridge, MA and has a daily sitting practice which supports his massage, reiki, and yoga practices.
In addition to his work as a massage therapist, Andrew is a licensed architect and carpenter and teaches architectural design at Northeastern University, Wentworth Institute of Technology, and NuVu Studios. He is a Fulbright Fellow and holds a degree in English Literature and Biology from Oberlin College and a Masters of Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
